Spring Break 09

The week began with Jordan staying with us while his dad was out of town on business. Thursday we decided to take the kids to the Famous Las Vegas Strip to see the fountains at the Belagio and grab some lunch. First, we stopped by 7 eleven to pick up some slurpees. We arrived at noon and waited until just after 1 to find that the fountains would not turn on until 3. On our usual trips we like to valet the car at Ceazars and walk to the Belagio then walk all the way down to the M & M factory. There is a cute eatery overlooking the strip that is great for people watching. We enjoyed watching the ducks play in the water. It was nice to relax and enjoy each others company. The temp was perfect with a cool breeze.

Today with Jeff's condition we choose to forego the usual and just walk back down the other side of the street towards Ceazars for the car. After taking a family vote we drove to our local Subway and ate lunch at a beautiful park near our home.

After a much needed break from our stressful week. We feel recharged and it's back to business today. We feel so grateful that Jarrin is feeling better and is a healthy kid. I know that it's because of your thoughts and prayers that we were able to get through this little worry. Thank you so much!!!!! He's doing great may I just say...FINALLY! lol
Jeff saw a Neurologist this morning. He is going to have a series of tests ie. MRI, Spinal Tap etc. to rule out M.S. A week or two ago Jeff's Gastroenterologist who has been working so hard on his case, called and felt Jeff should be tested. This would explain the nerve damage in his colon. Jeff has also been having some other symptoms that have nothing to do with the colon but more of the brain and spinal cord. Jeff and I feel like this might be the reason why he's been feeling the way he has for the last 16 months. I believe the body can't be that mysterious so something has to be causing his symptoms. We also feel that it would be helpful to focus our energy towards something with a treatment plan. For now, after just getting approved by our insurance to go back to UCLA, we feel that Jeff needs to get a diagnosis. If he is positive for M.S. there will not be a need to go back to confirm what we already know, that he has nerve damage. We know this journey with us has been long and we appreciate your patience, your love, your support during all of this. Much love to you all! Take care and my you feel our Saviors love during this Easter weekend and always.

I'm so glad Jarrin is okay! It sounds like you had a fun week, it's nice to have a break! Let me know what you find out on Jeff, my sister has MS. She was 18 when she found out, that was a little over 10 years ago. If you have any questions let me know, I might be able to help.
