We're Off to See the Wizard(s)...

Tomorrow Jeff and I will visit with UCLA's finest Gastroenterologists ( wizards ). We will travel down the yellow brick road ( I-15 ) to see what magical things they have in store for my Jeff. I have packed my ruby (brown, comfy) slippers ( shoes ). We will sing songs ( listen to cds ) and keep a watchful eye out for the wicked witch and her monkeys ( highway patrol ).
I have quietly debated with myself the last couple of days, as to wether or not I will take out my thick black marker and place an X on my husbands abdomen...my final decision is to not go through with this. Just in case you were wondering :) Our anticipation for this visit feels like the night before Christmas. These medical minds ( wizards ) are the best. Jeff was diagnosed with Pelvic Floor Dysnergy a couple of months ago. Basically it means that he has nerve damage in his Colon. Jeff and I hope to come home with some hope of a plan and a better understanding of this disease. We feel like we are on a journey and we are grateful for the many life lessons that we have learned. We are grateful for our friends and family who have supported us through these changes. I do not handle change very easily and I'm so grateful to not have to do it by myself! Bless all of you!!
