Treating the symptoms

Tonight was rough getting Jarrin to sleep. When the serotonin levels drop people are more symptomatic, levels drop at night. That's why you feel worse at night. Usually around ten or so Jarrin throws up. However, he has not thrown up since Sunday. He spends the day randomly dry heaving and leaning over the designated puke bowl. I haven't put it away for a month now. I think we need to decorate it...hmmm. During the day a cool damp washcloth to the forehead helps. His appetite is very random as well. Today, he ate cereal for breakfast and some speggetti for dinner. Yesterday, only three bananas. I'm also pushing fluids gatorade, water etc...
Jarrin has headaches from dry heaving. Tonight was the worst one he's ever had. He just cried and cried. I held him in my arms and applied an ice pack with a dish towel to the back of this neck. I also gave tylenol. He let me stroke his face and run my fingers through his hair. It reminded me of when he was a baby. He would instantly fall asleep whenever I gently stroked his cute little face. As he got older he wouldn't let me do it as much. Tonight, he snuggled right up next to me and eventually fell into a restless sleep.
