What's up?

I know posts have been few and far between sorry for that. I've been working and just trying to take care of the fam. I have some new fun stuff to share..yay!

Memorial Weekend our friend and nieghbor let us borrow his truck to drive to Mesquite. I found a really good deal on a Hotel. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know my children in a different way, with no activities to attend or schedule to stick too. They are such good fun kids!!! I had a blast swimming in the chilly pool~mostly them~ and relaxing in the hot tub.
Jeff was able to rest and I think it was good for him to relax in the hot tub as well. Since it's my blog I will note at this time that I like more adventerous vacations. Vacations that involve some hike or camping or sight seeing but I know that it's not possible right now for the family physically or financially. My adventerous spirit had to keep quiet this time...we did take a drive into St. George looking for fry sauce. We drove to the Artic Circle which happens to be closed on Sundays, Jeff and I were super sad about that. We grabbed some lunch somewhere else..NO FRY SAUCE :(. It was all Jeff could do and we needed to get back to our "homebase", so he could rest. All in all it was perfect for us to get away and I'm so grateful that we were able to do that.

The Pinewood Derby was last week. Our friends helped Jeff make Jarrin's car. They also made Jordan one too.

Gary (Jordan's Uncle), Me, Jarrin, Jordan and Loyd (Jordan's Dad). These are our awesome nieghbors!!

Jeff had a hospital visit in May where he needed to be transported. The good thing and the only good thing about that is it doesn't cost us anything because I am employed with them. Both fire and private ambulance respond in Las Vegas usually. A fire captain from another station was riding along. They do that on occasion. He pulled me aside took my hand...not letting go said "you are the primary caretaker right?" I answered his many questions...trying to charm my way out of his advice but then I realized at that moment that I needed to listen to him if I was going to be strong for my family. I took his advice which was to take an hour a day or every couple of days to my self. No phone, nothing, no physical activity. Just time to wind down. I think Heavenly Father puts people in our lives at certain points to help us and he did that for me that night. I am so blessed.
So Jeff has Angina, which is chest pain due to plaque build up in the arteries of his heart. Cardiac issues run in his fam. Although, He did not have a heart attack the symptoms are similiar until ruled out by tests done at a hospital. It's not like tv where they suddenly grab their chest and everybody freaks out. Jeff was accross the street at our nieghbors eating steak. After just one or two bites into his meal, he felt like in his own words "an elephant was sitting on his chest." His skin instantly became wet, really wet, his clothes were soaked and his skin cool to the touch. He got up without saying anything and walked into our home. He called for me and I knew before even touching him that it was cardiac issues. For the first time during an assesment I got nervous. I kept rechecking his BP and pulse. I have NEVER been nervous with my patients. It sucked!! Ok so he was transported, he stayed the night and was released the next day with this diagnosis. I will tell you that with plaque build up, a fatty meal, salt, activity, can cause Angina. The difference at times, between a heart attack and Angina is that the symptoms of Angina will go away with nitro, rest, and a better diet. Always call for an ambulance with these symptoms. People die thinking it will get better, it doesn't and you will die. Please just call. Call me if you ever have any questions because TIME IS MUSCLE ~off my soapbox~ I administered some nitro to him just yesterday for those symptoms, it helped. Jeff is doing ok. He did inform me just yesterday, that he has decided not to take his meds...all of them and hasn't for two weeks now. I am working to convince him to take the cholesteral one...and the one for depression. I am not pleased with his decision. In my oppinion, those are the two he def. should take, as for the rest...I really don't know. Pills are not always the answer

Myself, Jarrin and Jaliece are healthy and doing well..just livin life.. Last day of school is Thursday...I am excited and nervous to have both kids home. Entertaining them is tough but we'll manage I'm sure.

I do read your blogs like every other day. Please know that I'm thinking of you. I enjoy reading your blogs.
