A summer prayer for our children

This was sent to me in an email from a dear friend of mine. I found it to be a source of comfort and wanted to share it with you.

Dear Heavenly Father, We ask for safety and health on our children as they begin summer. Put them in the right places at the right times, keeping them from harm's way. We ask you to surround them with Godly influences. Let this summer be one of spiritual, emotional and social development for them. Develop and nurture in them Godly habits. Show us the role you'd have us play each day in their lives. Grant us the energy, time and resources to fulfill our assigned roles. We can only do this by your power working through us. Thank you for giving us everything we need. In Jesus' Name we pray, Amen.
