And Summer comes to an end.....

First, Thank you so much for reading our blog! Second, thanks for voting on Jeff's style. He really doesn't look like that....I promise. He hadn't shaved for awhile and decided to have a little fun, but then he actually went out in public like that!! He likes to torment/tease me :)

Jarrin slept over at his friend Colin's home for the first time. Colin has been his best friend since kindergarten. They were in nursery then sunbeams and so on. I am thankful that Jarrin has such a good friend. He had so much fun and no phone calls in the middle of the night for me to come pick him up. Yes I know he's nine. Jarrin is a very sweet guy and we are in no hurry to have him grow up. Colin, Jarrin and our nieghbor Jordon. ( Jarrin's buddies ) I think we've unofficially adopted Jordon. I find myself wanting to talk about him as if he is one of my own. After all he is a "J". We are excited that Jordon ,who is not a member of the church, has expressed an interest in scouts. Jarrin starts the 4th grade on Monday. He is not excited to go back to school. He has been counting down the days for about a month and a half now and not for when school starts but for how many more "fun" days are left. He can't wait to ride his bike at the skate park again. He hasn't been on the bike since June, it's just too hot. Riding up and down the street is not exciting enough for Jarrin. Our little guy is growing up. He is happy and healthy and brings so much happiness into our home. Love you Jare bear!! Love, Mom
Jaliece, went to her first birthday party by herself this week. I walked her up to the door and she was so excited, she didn't say good bye to me :( Little girls opened the door with an overwhelming "JALIECE!!!!!" and that was it. She went inside and in her words had "best day ever"!!! She really loves her friends. She says hi to all the kids and babies in church, at the store, the park where ever. Lately, she has been begging me for a baby, brother or sister, she's not picky. I told her it's not up to me. She crinkles her nose and says well I would be a great big sister and I really want one PLEASEEEEEEEEE!!!!! " I said please, mom. Now can I have a baby brother or sister? " Well it would be great to end this cute story with some news, but I don't have any. I just thought it was a cute story :) Jaliece has the family singing "I am a child of God" before our family prayers each night. It's very important to her that we all fold our arms, sit in a circle, singing that song every night before prayers. I LOVE IT. I still get emotional listening to my children sing. Our family singing together, is so precious to me. Jaliece is also very happy and healthy. Love you lee cee baby! Love, Mommy
I go back to school on Monday. I look forward to learning more advanced skills. I work my first night shift tomorrow night. I have also signed up to work some events like boxing and motocross stuff. Should be fun :) I enjoy and feel privalged to be able to help people.
Jeff went to the surgen about three weeks ago. He was told that he was too swollen to find his tumor for surgery and that when the swelling goes down come back in to get that marked. This frustrates me, what about all those high tech tests my Jeff had to endure to find the stupid thing? -I'm rolling my eyes- So I recently took a thick permenant black marker, felt the tumer myself and marked it with an X , a big X, so when we go back to the surgen's office., he will know where the dang thing is! I do have to say sometimes you can feel it and sometimes you can't...it's so weird! I will let you know hopefully this week how that visit goes. I can't wait to see the surgens face. Jeff had his pancreas ( sp? ) test done and we should know the results of that. This is new and hopefully it can be resolved on it's own. One of the ducts may be blocked. We are ten months out with Jeff being on medical leave. His employer has been so good to us. We still have health insurance. Our ward has taken us in, taking excellent care of us. My testimony has grown. I have tried so hard to keep my eyes open to the blessings that come with a challenge of a spouse with a chronic illness. Jeff is my best friend my sweetheart. It has been really difficult for me to see him so miserable. I am grateful for his friends and family for distracting him and just being here for us. They have all been angels. I think we have been so well taken care of that our children haven't noticed to many changes and I appreciate that. Jeff is doing very well with the challenges of taking care of our home and our children ( not so much of a challenge ) while I have returned to work. I am so proud of him. I've always said he irons better than I do...thank you Marine Corps.!! We truelly feel our Savior's love in our lives and I am very grateful and humbled to feel this love. With this love, we can fulfill our responsibilities as parents, friends, nieghbors, ward members, and by serving our community.

Your kids are so cute, we miss seeing the cute things they do. I'm glad we'll get to see you over Thanksgiving. I love how you've changed your blog. Good luck with work. we hope it goes well. And we hope everything goes well at Jeff's doctor appointment.
